Raw Fig, Apple and Chia Seed Jam

This jam is wonderfully simple to make, and is naturally sweetened with pure apple juice. I have used dried figs in this recipe, but dates, prunes or dried apricots would also work well. Read on below for the procedure.

  • x 2 cups of dried figs
  • 2 cups natural apple juice
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds

Add the figs and apple juice to a food processor or blender. Process until just roughly pureed. Transfer to a glass jar.

Add the chia seeds, and then mix well making sure they are well incorporated in to the fruit puree.

Place in the fridge to set for at least an hour or so. Makes a small jar full.

Will keep for 2-3 weeks in the fridge.
