- 4 beef shnitzels
- 4 slices cheese (colby/tasty are suitable, though gruyere was listed)
- 2 slices sandwhich ham
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
Place slices of schnitzel on work bench. On each slice on one half of the schnitzel place a slice of cheese. On top of the cheese place 1/2 slice of ham. Fold the uncovered 1/2 of schnitzel over the ham. Make sure you have no cheese or ham protruding out of your parcel. Repeat the process on the other 3 slices.
Prepare a plate of flour, a plate of breadcrumbs and a bowl of beaten eggs and milk. Place parcel into the flour, shake off any excess, dip into egg mixture drain off excess, coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat process with other parcels.
In a large fry pan heat 3 tbsps of olive oil, and fry the cordon bleus until golden brown, turning once during frying, two minutes on each side. Drain on absorbent paper and serve.
