Chicken Basil (ka­phrao gai)

Serves 2


  • 1 cup chicken mince
  • 50g onion, sliced
  • 50g sliced carrots
  • 50g mushrooms
  • 50g beans
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp chopped chilli
  • 1/2 cup sweet basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp seasoning sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 cup oil

Heat oil in a wok and add garlic and chilli, and stir fry for two minutes. Add chicken and stir fry until cooked.

Add beans, onion, mushrooms, carrots and stir fry. Add sugar, fish sauce, seasoning sauce, oyster sauce until the vegetables are cooked.

Add basil and take off the heat.
